Scott Brown


Scott is a licenced security consultant and business security provider who is active in the security industry since 1986. Over the past 24 years he has expanded Strongs Security Services to include a wide variety of clients in both the public and private sectors.

He began his career in pursuing mastery of the martial arts and even became one of the pioneer students from Australia for intense uchi deshi training at the Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo headquarters in Tokyo Japan. He now holds a 6th Dan in Shorinjiryu. He runs his own personal dojo with the bequeathed name of Ken Sei Kai, and eventually appointed as one of the chief instructors of the Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karatedo in  Australia.

Scott is fully licenced as a Class 1 and 2 Security Operative and Security Consultant and he is an expert in most facets of the security industry including threat assessments and risk analyses as well as using the principles of crime prevention through the Environmental Design (CPTED).

As a leading martial arts and self-protection expert, Scott directs and facilitates Strongs Security program for Armed Robbery Awareness Training and Essential Self Protection program.

As a registered firearms instructor (since 1995)and member of the Security Firearms Instructors Association, Scott is also the Director and Facilitator of Strongs Security Services firearms training.

His experience in the security profession also includes an extensive association with the film and television industries, including the provision of close personal protection for personalities such as Nicole Kidman, Art Malik, William Hurt, James Belushi and Halle Berry.  Scott also provided site and set security for movies such as The Shadow of the Cobra, Bangkok Hilton, Race the Sun, Reckless Kelly and, television productions such as Heartbreak High, Australia’s Most Wanted and Money.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian & International Studies and a Bachelor of Education (Secondary). He is also a lecturer of Security Studies and Risk Management at the TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute.
